At the beginning of this year, several unexpected changes happened which in turn created a stir internally that began to forge restlessness within and paused my art making for the most part. I typically have enjoyed change throughout my life but this felt different and unexpected. As a result, I began to try and solve these issues instead of living in the moment and simply waiting for the right timing. I’ve learned in life there are moments when you need to move forward quickly and other times it’s about being still.

Each of these paintings from this collection are reminders to live in the here & now and be ok with that, because that’s all we can really do sometimes. When I decided to do this, I felt myself relax a bit and realized the overthinking wouldn’t fix anything but having faith would.
