I still remember my first painting lesson at age 12 and discovering a connection with painting like nothing else I had tried. Looking back, those lessons were the greatest gift my parents could have given me because it planted in me a lifetime love for art and creating.

At age 35 I was diagnosed with stage IV endometriosis after almost 8 years of searching for answers. Endometriosis is an abnormal growth of cells that causes inflammation and chronic pain which can typically take up to 10 years for a woman to be diagnosed. I have had two separate laparoscopic surgeries but unfortunately there is no cure for endometriosis yet. I’m still learning how to manage my pain but through these trials I’ve learned to shift my mindset and lean on my faith.  What we tell our mind is so powerful.

One way I find a true sense of calm is through the observation of nature and then taking that peaceful memory and transferring it to canvas.  My greatest joy is when someone connects with one of these paintings and my work creates a sense of calm in their home as well.

“I AM INTERESTED IN SIMPLICITY, LIGHTING AND MAKING ART THAT EVOKES

A SENSE OF CALM THROUGH THE OBSERVATION OF NATURE.”
